I startle a dog fox resting in a long sloping field running up to a hardwood bush in a heavy snowfall. He had just digested his prey. He immediately decided to put the high ridge between us but he could not resist scoping me out before he melted away in the hardwoods. Only a smart little animal would realize that my "gun" remained silent and intrigued him enough to stop and look me over.....gotta love 'im.....cheers ...dave.
