Here is a series of 26 shots of a male Belted Kingfisher fishing at Lockerby. What you don't hear in this photo series is the absolutely marvelous and completely mad cackle that this bird makes just before leaving his perch to fly or to plunge with abandon into the air! I know...i know.....all you guys call it a rattle....but all i can say is... it is mad(as in crazy) in my books! This little birds skill and wonderful behavior is a marvel of nature.....and i hope everyone gets to actually see and hear this bird with your own eyes. Cheers.... I am Dave Waddell
